From 70 million tonnes —
to a fleet that thinks.
Berge Bulk already leads the industry on decarbonisation. The next step is not another wing-sailed vessel — it is letting AI see and optimise every one of the 90 ships, 540 annual voyages, every SOF, and every chartering enquiry.
Five AI modules, designed for Berge Bulk
Selected from 12 candidates against four criteria: high ROI, easy to demo, no conflict with Wayfinder / SERTICA / Oracle, and aligned with the Safe · Efficient · Sustainable charter.
Voyage+
On top of the 5% fuel saved by Wayfinder, squeeze out another 1.5–2%.
Digital Twin
Turn 90 vessels into 90 living digital bodies — cut emergency drydocks by 60%.
Chartering Copilot
Voyage estimation from 30 minutes to 30 seconds. TCE lift of ~1.5%.
CII / ETS Cockpit
See all 90 vessels in one screen. Today’s decision = next year’s rating.
Document AI
SOF / B/L / NOR auto-structured. Recover $2–4M / year in demurrage disputes.
Berge Bulk doesn’t need a first wave of digitalisation. It needs to put its data to work.
Since 2021 Berge Bulk has deployed Oracle Cloud ERP, SERTICA fleet management, Moscord procurement, and in 2024 rolled out Sofar Wayfinder fleet-wide — saving 5% on fuel.
That means the data foundation already exists. The next step is not another tool — it is letting AI make SERTICA’s equipment data, Wayfinder’s routing, the ERP’s contracts, and the chartering desk’s enquiry history talk to each other inside one decision engine.
And the window is short. EU ETS has covered shipping in full since 2024, and IMO CII triggers a corrective plan at D-grade for two years or E-grade for one. Whether a ship is B or D twelve months from now depends on every operational decision made today.
